Hi there! I’m Kerstin, the design assistant at Marin Design Co. My appreciation for design started when I was a young girl, where I would watch my mom constantly freshen up our cozy abode. Tagging along with her to every Pier 1 Imports trip, my love for detail and presentation quickly grew. Although we moved around the golden state often, I found myself continuously re-designing everything in my bedroom.
I recently received my Bachelors degree in Art, from UC Santa Cruz. There, I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to work in the wood shop on campus, quickly growing a love and interest in building sustainable furniture. My style leans more towards vintage modern and japandi, with a focus of timelessness. Incorporating textures, natural materials and houseplants are also ideal when contemplating a space. Landscape is the main inspiration of my style, so I find it essential to be bringing parts of the outside in.
