This Land Park Bungalow was a full furnishing/styling and small renovation project. And it was an absolute blast to do. The mother/daughter duo that moved into this home asked for a bright and airy space that felt homey.
Entryway
The entryway to this bungalow is small, but nonetheless deserved a moment. My client already owned this vintage-inspired mirror so I decided to place it near the door to reflect the natural light. Also, two girls - it was an obvious spot for last minute hair and makeup checks. Both the bench and umbrella holder were salvage shop finds. The bench is great for putting-on/taking-off shoes. And well that vintage umbrella holder was just a yes- it may be my favorite vintage decorative item of all time! What I love the most about the entry is the mix of all different materials and styles, but it all comes together in a cohesive and thoughtful way.
Kitchen
In the kitchen we did some light renovations: changed the backsplash, pendants, hardware, sink faucet, cabinet color, and of course styled the space. These simple changes make the room feel much more open and welcoming. Here are some before and afters for your viewing pleasure.
Living Room
The living room was designed around this gorgeous blue and white striped rug from Mcgee & Co (link: click here). My client sent me a picture of the rug and the design all came together in my head. I love when clients are not scared of a little color. I am so excited to see this space during the holidays- I can already imagine all of the neutral holiday decor and greenery against the blue pillows and rug. It'll be dreamy.
And this...
My favorite part about this vignette moment is you hardly notice the framed art in the back is actually a TV. Since this wall is the first thing you see when walking in the front door, I wanted to be sure it was a beautiful but also practical space. The media cabinet/sideboard is another Mcgee & Co. find (link: click here).
