Kerstin joined MDC after receiving her BA in the Arts at UC Santa Cruz. As a California native, she found inspiration in design through the various landscapes the Golden State has to offer. Her appreciation for interiors began at a young age, from watching her mom freshen up the decor around their home. As her family moved around often, she was interested in the pieces that made each house their home. Having this perspective allows Kerstin to design unique and beautiful residential interiors that are customized to her client’s style, leaving them to feel at ease and right at home.
Starting out as the Design Assistant and now a Lead Designer, she is eager to learn anything and everything about the industry. You will find Kerstin passionately leading furnishing and construction projects at MDC. Her love to create meaningful and cozy spaces for families is what drives her to grow. Her favorite style is modern European, with a focus on minimalism and natural materials. She is deeply influenced by the incredible Jake Arnold, Amber Lewis and Light and Dwell. On any given day off, she is out scavenging for vintage pieces, going to yoga, or adventuring with her husband.
